Zappa Plays Zappa, Paramount Theatre, Denver

Tonight, an extraordinary homage to Frank, by his son, Dweezil. Thoughtful song selection from the Mothers' catalog ("Call Any Vegetable, " "Inca Roads," "Oh No!/The Orange County Lumber Truck," "Trouble Every Day," "Who Are the Brain Police?," "Idiot Bastard Son;" "Pygmy Twylyte") and Frank's first solo albums ("Tell Me You Love Me;" "Peaches en Regalia"). Dweezil's guitar work during "Can't Afford No Shoes," "Black Napkins," "I'm the Slime," "Regyptian Strut;" "The Black Page") was note perfect. Dad was proud.
