2007 Song of the Year: Thank God For Astronauts' "Lollipop"

The fantastic "Lollipop," from the Thank God For Astronauts 2007 album, Bring Us Meat, is power pop resplendent in echo chamber vocals and jangly guitars. The song features a brilliant, head shaking bridge yet clocks in at 2:11 minutes. Wunderbar. Bring Us Meat, distributed by Denver's Needlepoint Records, is Thank God For Astronauts' first non-vinyl/tape release. Unable to convince the interested parties that a free download link for the song would be a good thing for all involved, you are left only with the option to purchase "Lollipop" (a great idea).

I agree. I bought this record on a whim and was completely AMAZED! I can't believe we don't hear more about these guys. I would advocate anyone who is a music fan to check these guys out.

Thanks for the award! We are all very excited by "lollipop" being nominated song of the year. I wrote that song years ago after being chastised by an audience member for being too wimpy. He kept yelling "where are your lollipop's?" Well here they are buddy.

Thanks Charli. How's Chad?
