Bright Channel: 2006 Artist of the Year

The underappreciated Bright Channel was busy throughout the year beginning with the February release of their second album, the expansive Self-Propelled, which garnered Denver Westword's "Best Recording" of 2006. Besides headlining their own gigs, Bright Channel also showcased at SXSW during 2006 and opened for Dinosaur Jr. and Brian Jonestown Massacre.
